Willa, now a god, is now in hiding in Topia, and the Abcurses are trying to find out how she became a god without going through Staviti’s normal ceremony where he creates new gods.
They visit with Adeline, in hopes that she would know what Willa is and how to get her out of hiding. However, Abil shows up and tells them that Staviti has called a meeting of all gods, which means Willa needs to attend.
To keep her identity a secret, Siret uses his trickery to disguise Willa as Aros, and Aros stays behind. Staviti announces that there are no new positions for the sols to take in Topia, so instead of informing them about this, he tells them that a new academy will be opened, and the beta of each god will teach only the best and strongest sols there. Then each god will have two betas. He adds that every sol will be sacrificed at the end of the year and those to weak to ascend will result in that beta being executed.
The Abcurses will also be sent back to Minatsol, and teach at the new academy, they decide that Willa will join them as the strongest Chaos sol.
Time at the new academy gives Willa a chance to find out what she is, as neither the Abcurses nor Cyrus believe she is the Chaos beta.
This gives you a brief overview of what the main theme is for this particular book in the series. The relationship between Cyrus and Emmy is quite amusing, and as much as they deny feeligs for one another, it is the complete opoosite.
You can expect many twists and turns, and new revelations throughout this book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
