We begin the finale book with Alex back on earth and recovering from her fight with Ares, and through it all Alex goes through a deep depression, not understanding the drastic change in her personality.
Alex starts to explain to Aidan how she can’t feel anything, and while he tries to get her to feel how much he loves her the sirens go off, indicating an attack. When the group gets to the gates of the university, they see birds that have been sent to attack them and Daimons.
Artemis arrives during the siege and helps them dispose of the Daimons, but she too makes a remark about something being inside Alex. Aidan overhears this and later they discuss the fact that Alex may be pregnant.
Seth shows up the next day with Lucian’s army, and Lucian under his compulsion, and he informs Alex that after what happened with her and Ares, he no longer wants to carry on with the path he’s been on. Seth releases Lucian from his compulsion and Alex shoots and kills him, not caring that she is breaking laws and proving to the pure bloods that things need to change.
I don’t want to give away any more of the book, because from here on out things heat up, war is waged, Alex dies but gets her happily ever after, even though it’s in the most unconventional way.
Like I have mentioned before, I have read this series a few times before, and no matter how many times I read it I still cry at the end, I really hope you enjoyed The Covenant series, please let me know what you think in the comment section below.
