In the second book in the Reynolds Restorations series, we follow the story of Stefano and Gabby, a single mother on the run from her abusive ex-boyfriend and father of her young son.
Stefano, who is a mechanic at the garage, meets Gabby when he sees her on the side of the road, struggling to change her tire. He offers to change it for her and notices that she damaged the rim, gives her a card for the garage, and when she asks what she owes him, he kisses her.
She brings her car in, and the mechanics find that there is more damage to the car, and the repairs would cost more than the vehicle is worth. Charly, who we met in the first book, offers a deal to Gabby, she works part-time at the garage, and they give her a new SUV to drive.
Things go well for Gabby and Stefano, and he grows closer to her son as well, that is until Gabby learns that her ex has found out where she is and is on the hunt for her. Will she run or confide I Stefano about her past and allow him to protect her?
I have been on Melanie Moreland binge lately, I love all her books because you’re guaranteed a happily ever after, and her writing is clear and concise, and her plots are original and leave you feeling happy when you close the book.
