Revved to the Maxx – Melanie Moreland

Charly has lost her job, her roommate has hacked her account and cleaned her out, and her apartment manager wants to trade rent for intimate favors.

Maxx’s life is a mess, his ex-girlfriend ran off with his friend and stole his prized motorcycle, his garage and house are in chaos, and he is in desperate need of help and places an ad for an assistant online.

Charly answers the ad, and Maxx assumes she’s a he from her name, and the night before Charly was meant to meet Maxx, she unknowingly hooks up with him, and both get a shock the next day but decide to put the night behind them and start over.

While Charly proves herself invaluable to Maxx, he can’t stop thinking about their night together and the two start a friends with benefits relationship, which eventually morphs into something more.

I love Melanie’s writing and have found myself reading just about all her books (and yes, I will add them to the site). This one was a little different to the ones I have read previously, it has less drama and more comedy. I love Charly’s little sayings and how she drives Maxx absolutely bonkers.

If you’re looking for a book that gives you tons of giggles and leaves you with all the feels, then this is the perfect contemporary romance book for you.
