Everly wakes up in the hospital after being hit by a car to realize she has little to no memory of what happened the night before. Three days later her uncle whisks her off to stay in his house where he has hired someone to watch her.
When she gets back to campus the boys break into her dorm room and instead of being scared, Everly asks them to help her remember what happened that night. She tells them what she remembers, which was everything up until she was at the Boneyard. Callum fills in the blanks and tells her that the four of them are now in this together, and just like that an unlikely alliance is formed.
Everly finds out that Dave, the man that took in Mateo, Callum and Saint, died under suspicious circumstances the day he got back from visiting with Everly’s uncle. He had confronted Everly’s uncle with evidence of their friend, and Dave’s son, Eirick’s disappearance.
Through Everly’s connection with her uncle, they find out that the mayor is involved with the illegal activities too.
Throughout the book we get to witness the Boneyard Kings slowly start to fall for Everly and vice versa. While their relationship really started off in the worse way possible it really develops into something meaningful and, well spicy, is still extremely sweet.
We also learn more about Mateo, Callum, and Saint’s past, how they came to stay with Dave, and more about Eirick.
