Lulu has moved to Rockhead Point with her six-month-old daughter Poppy, on her first day as a paralegal Lulu literally bumps into Penn and he tries to drag her off with him.
In a panic she runs into the law office and tells the receptionist she was assaulted when Penn walks in. Knowing the Barnett family legacy, the receptionist tries to explain to Lulu how the men fall in love.
Penn spends the entire day in the reception area of the law office and follows Lulu back to where she is staying and not only is it the mother of his previous bed buddy, Roxanne, but he finds out Lulu is a mother and instantly claims Poppy too.
After a lot of back and forth and light stalking by Penn, the pair grow closer until Roxanne shows up pregnant and claims Penn is the father, and this causes Lulu to run and Penn to chase.
After they find out that the baby isn’t Penn’s the couple get their happily ever after.
