This is the story of the Boneyard Kings, three former foster children taken in by the owner of a junkyard on the Southside, and Everly, an orphaned girl taken in by her American uncle on the Northside of Blackstone.
The story takes place at the prestigious Blackstone University, of which Everly’s uncle is the Dean, and the Boneyard Kings are on scholarships.
Everly doesn’t know what she’s done, but somehow, she has made it on the Boneyard Kings’ radar, and they are out for blood, harassing her at every turn.
After overhearing her uncle on two suspicious phone calls, Everly decides she needs to investigate whatever it is that her uncle is wrapped in, which leads her on the same path as the Boneyard Kings. However, neither party knows that they are seeking the same answers.
The storyline has you gripped from the start and the male characters, while morally gray, are easy to root for, and although their relationship with Everly starts off as cruel they do start to develop feelings for her, even while trying to deny it.
This is a dark romance, bullying, forced touching, and past sexual abuse, if you enjoy enemies-to-lovers with a lot of spice, then this is the series for you. However, if you’re triggered by these themes, I wouldn’t recommend these books.
