We begin the series finale with Ilara and Norivun returning to the Court of Winter as eternally bound. The king locks Ilara in the dungeons and uses Tylen to keep Norvun from using his magic.

Because of their fairy bargain, and Ilara’s fulfilment of her half, the gods start earthquakes in the castle, and the destruction will only end if the king honors Norivun’s half by setting Ilara free to return to her home.

They devise a plan with Lord Crimsondale that they’ll use Cailis’s truth affinity and ctreate numerous looking glasses portraying what happened in the fields, the warlock, and the king’s involvement.

This prompts the king to retaliate against them, but he is thwarted by Norvun’s mother who kills her husband. Ilara and Norivun get their Happily Ever After.

This is a very brief recap of what happens in the final book. I didn’t want to give away too much as this is an exciting story which should be read without too much knowledge of the plot.
