Hiding her online adult puppet shows from her father, Josie Hastings agrees to become a nanny for a little girl and her single father.
Gabriel has recently taken full custody of his five-year-old daughter, after she was abandoned at daycare by her mom.
This is both a journey of navigating life as a single parent for Gabriel and self-discovery for Josie. Both characters are thrust into a situation where they need to balance their feelings and the upbringing of Gabriel’s daughter.
While Josie is busy finding out who she is and what she wants from life, she is simultaneously healing both father and daughter.
Overall, the book was sweet and enjoyable, however, I didn’t quite like that there wasn’t a buildup to the story, it felt like everything was rushed.
There definitely were some funny moments that made me giggle, and I definitely will never look at puppets the same way again.
There are a few cute father/daughter moments and some sexual tension that you could cut through with a knife. The intimate scenes are extra spicy, so consider yourself warned.
