After taking back Delacroix, Huntley betrays Ivory’s only request, which was to not kill her father, and now the two must navigate their marriage and saving the world while overcoming his betrayal.
They eventually retake the kingdoms and defeat the Necrosis, and everyone gets their happily ever after.
I don’t want to give away too much of this final book, there’s a lot that happens but giving more information would ruin the book for you guys. If you do want more spoilers, drop me an email and I’ll be happy to give you all the tea.
The conclusion I have come to regarding Huntley is that he is a pansy-ass momma’s boy, I know that the author tried to write his character as someone who has been through so much and is all vengeful, but really he’s an entitled brat who does whatever he can to please his mommy, eve when it means breaking his promise to wife.
The true hero in this story is Ivory; she is the only one who puts the needs of the entire world above those of her own wants. I was more than disappointed that she didn’t tell Huntley to take a hike and rule the kingdoms on her own with the dragons, to me that would have been the better ending.
