The final book in this series starts off with Shade’s POV during the endowment ceremony after the video of Alan and Sera has played. Shade unleashes the Void and sends her to his room while he allows the Void to take over the hall, they’re in, before joining her there.

Artemis comes to their aid, preventing Carmine from getting into Shade’s room, but also informing Sera that she cannot leave the Academy, and she and Carmine will just need to work things out.

Nick and Ethan take it upon themselves to look out for Sera, just as she had done for them, and make sure to be with her as much as possible, while everyone ignores her out of fear.

Sera is summoned to Carmine’s chambers where she tells her everything that happened the night she died. Carmine accepts what happened but warns Sera that if they survive the demons and the closing of the portals she will come after her.

Side note: Both Shade and Sera feel the Artemis is hiding something from them.

Sera wanders into the cave near the battlefield, while Artemis is using the second diamond, she had Sera fill with her magic and is transported to a beach where she follows Artemis into a house. In the house she finds that Artemis has frozen Ares and Aphrodite and has accused Aphrodite of helping steal the holy trio. Finding what she has been looking for, Artemis transports Sera and herself back to the Academy.

Sera goes to the battlefield to practice fighting demons and finds that her godlight splits into spheres disappearing the demons instead of pulsing out allowing others to kill the demons.

While in the temple, Sera is approached by a man and a woman, both with wings, who happen to be Nyx and Thanatos. While running from them Sera is attacked by Carmine in her lioness form and she uses her godlight to save herself, bringing Artemis to the fight, chasing them off.

I won’t give away any more of the book, but this one is longer than the rest and you’ll need to concentrate when reading it as it is a bit all over the place at times. Basically Artemis is evil and Apollo was the thief.

If you can make it through all the books, then you will enjoy the storyline, but like I have said before, there’s a lot that could’ve been left out that really didn’t add to the story, it was just filler fluff.
