For weeks they go through different routines to allow the shift to take, without ay luck. Nolan becomes impatient and basically tortures Hayden to force her to shift

This doesn’t work either and Hayden finds out that the real reason Nolan wants her to shift is that her scales will hold immense power, which he plans on using for himself.

Hayden is rescued by the Diablos wolf pack, from Crescent Creek (they have their own book series), who are under the employ of her mates.

Once she is at home ad recovers, she goes in search of Cael, whose dragon has taken over, and ends up shifting, confirming she is the last of the royal line.

I don’t want to give away the ending, but if you enjoy fantasy romance books about shifters, then this series is definitely worth adding to your collection.
