Sophia thinks she’s found Mr Right, and when she tells him she’s pregnant, he tells her he’s engaged to the mayor’s daughter, and he’ll ruin her life if she tells anyone he’s the father.
Fast forward seven years, and Sophia is now in California bartending at a nightclub, about to apply to law school, while raising her daughter, Kendall, and living with her cousin, Naomi.
While waiting for her daughter to finish school, Sophia decides to study in the park, where she meets Easton, a famous musician who she doesn’t recognize. While they talk a photographer asks them if she can take their picture for a Strangers Session she is portraying in a gallery, and they agree.
One thing leads to another and the two end up in bed together. A few weeks later Sophia finds out that she’s pregnant again and wants to let Easton know. She posts the photo of the two of them on her social media and asks if anyone knows who he is, and that is when she finds out he’s famous.
Instead of running like she expects him to do, Easton takes becoming a father seriously and eventually considers Kendall as his own daughter.
This is a lighthearted and sweet romance book for those days where you just want to feel good and not read anything with too heavy a theme. I have always enjoyed surprise pregnancy romance novels, as I love the way authors describe the reactions of both parents and how they adjust to new situations.
