This is the sweet story of Sunny Sanderson, an Omega, who is a single mother to a little boy named Luka. One night, while getting Luka settled, Sunny’s apartment building is set alight, and she ends up trapped in her apartment.

Pack mates Rune, Blaze, and Walker all work as firefighters and are called out to the fire, where Rune and Blaze heroically save Sunny and Luka

With nowhere to go, Sunny and Luka end up staying at the firehouse until she gets back on her feet. During this time the three pack mates fall in love with her and bond. Everything is great until Luka’s biological dad wants custody of him.

I really enjoyed this book; Melissa Huxley has this amazing way of writing novels that leaves you swooning and feeling great and hopeful about life at the end. Blaze’s character was absolutely great and provided just the right amount of comic relief, especially with his cookie obsession. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
